Relive the excitement of the 2002 FIFA World Cup™

During 2002 FIFA World CupTM, total of
four games were held here at the Nissan Stadium. Among them were
the final game and the historic game between Japan and Russia
in which Japan captured the first-ever victory in FIFA World
CupTM regular round. The World Cup Stadium
Tour will show you around the stadium from the perspective of
the players, so you can better imagine what the world's best
players experienced during the games. Autographs, left by the
2002 FIFA World CupTM champion, Brazil
team, can still be seen in the locker room. Walk in the players'
footsteps, up the stairs that lead to the pitch and the overwhelming
72,000-seat stadium. The displays include the monument, vivid
picture panels, valuable autographed footballs and uniforms,
and so on. Now, take the World Cup Stadium Tour and revisit the
excitement and thrill of the 2002 FIFA World CupTM. |

Monument 2002
On the monument in this section, you will find the footprint
of the Brazil team captain, Cafu, and the handprint of the
German captain, Kahn. You will also see a floor of relief tiles
engraved with the results of all the 2002 FIFA World CupTM games
from the preliminary rounds held throughout the world, to the
cup final in Yokohama. |

30, 2002)
The Brazil team's locker room on the day of the cup final was
reproduced. You will see autographed lockers of every team player,
replica uniforms, and the whiteboard on which the mysterious
numbers to forecast the team's victory scores are written. |

The players warmed up in this room before the games. A life-sized
goal posts are also displayed. |

Roads to YOKOHAMA
This section describes the activities carried out by the citizens
of Yokohama and the excitement from the invitation to the cup
final along with pictures, posters, flags, and other items.
The exhibition includes the uniforms and footballs autographed

This section provides information on the games of the Yokohama
F. Marinos and the Japan national team held at the Nissan Stadium.
Learn about the history of the Yokohama F. Marinos from their
dual origins as the Yokohama Marinos and Yokohama Flugels merged
into the present Yokohama F. Marinos. Included are all the
scores made by these teams presented on a panel. |

Victory is Ours
This is where supporters gather to pray for their team's victory.
On display are replica 1904 uniforms of Japan's first sports
club that promoted football, and uniforms of the Yokohama F.
Marinos and the Japan national teams. These are set against
a backdrop of red bricks from the historic Yokohama Red Brick
Warehouse. |
